Riders and car or van drivers

Same-day delivery. Documents, parcels and cartons picked up and delivered on the same day across Sydney. We take the booking from the customer and give you the pickup and delivery details.

What you need

What you need

  • An ABNYou work as an independent contractor and invoice us. Registering for an ABN is free if you do not have one.
  • A full licence for what you driveA full Australian licence for your vehicle class: R for motorbikes, C for cars and vans, LR, MR, HR or HC for trucks. We do not take learner or provisional licences.
  • Your own vehicleRegistered and roadworthy. Riders need a bike of 700cc or more with a lockable top box or panniers. Removalists registering as crew only do not need a vehicle.
  • Your own insuranceAt least CTP on your vehicle, plus cover for your own business. We go through the cover each kind of work needs before your first job.
  • Care and reliabilityTurn up when you say you will, and treat people's belongings and homes with care.
  • A smartphoneTo take calls and messages about jobs and to take photos at pickup and delivery.

Questions

Am I an employee?

No. You work as an independent contractor with your own ABN and invoice us for the jobs you do. You choose which jobs you take, and you look after your own tax, super and insurance.

How is the work paid?

We agree the pay for each job with you before you accept it, and you invoice us once it is done. We talk you through how it works for your kind of work on the call.

How much work is there?

It depends on what customers book, your area and when you are free. We offer each job as it comes in, with the pay, and you decide. We will not promise set hours or a set number of jobs.

Why 700cc and up for riders?

A bigger bike is safer at highway speed with a loaded top box, all day, without working too hard. It is the floor and we hold to it.

What experience do I need?

For removals, experience carrying and loading furniture. For same-day delivery, none, but you need to know Sydney. For both, drive sensibly and turn up when you say you will.

Can I register a crew or more than one vehicle?

Yes. Register once and tell us about your crew or your other vehicles in the notes.
